Postage and Delivery

Postage is calculated based on the total weight of the order, packaging and delivery address as per the relevant Australia Post rate. Please view their postage calculator for further details. 

Tracking numbers are only supplied for Express Post deliveries. Please refer to your confirmation email for freight information and visit auspost.com.au for further information about parcel post and freight times.

If you are unavailable at the time of delivery or the package is over-sized, Australia Post will leave a notification card at your delivery address advising you of the nearest Australia Post Centre to pick up your parcel.

Please note these figures are a guide only and we do not have any control over your package once it is with Australia Post.

We aim to only use sustainable packaging which means we may use a mix of paper and compostable packaging along with the reuse of supplier packaging such as bubble wrap.

We will always package items carefully to avoid damage or breakages. If you receive a product that is broken in transit or damaged, please contact us at shop@samuseum.sa.gov.au within three (3) business days of receiving your package, providing your online order number and photos of the damaged product.

South Australian Museum cannot be held responsible for any issues arising from incorrect delivery information, returns or failure to collect from Australia Post.

 

Christmas shipping deadlines

To guarantee delivery before Christmas, we advise customers to place their standard parcel post orders no later than Wednesday, 7 December.  For Christmas orders between 8-14 December, you will need to select express post and Australia Post will make every effort to ensure you receive your package in time.

 

Holiday period shipping

No orders will be posted between 24 December and 2 January. Normal postage procedures will resume after this period.

Standard shipping options (domestic)

Packages sent via standard Australia Post to metropolitan areas generally take 5-10 business days from the date of shipment to the date of delivery. Please allow longer for regional and interstate areas and orders that include canvas reproductions.

International shipping

Please email us at shop@samuseum.sa.gov.au before ordering to get a quote for international shipping.

Click and collect is not available at this time.  You’re welcome to contact shop staff to check something is available in store before visiting.
